 Accommodations

Free Spirit's Beltane is held at the Ramblewood Retreat Center on 200 acres of very private land in Northern Maryland. Minutes from I-95, our Beltane festival is easily accessible by public transportation.

Once a summer camp for kids, Ramblewood has been completely upgraded and now caters exclusively to private groups. Each of the 40 cabins have full bathrooms with hot water, showers and flush toilets. Most of the bathrooms have been renovated in the last year. Cabins also have electricity, mattresses, lighting and ceiling fans.

For those who wish to get closer to nature, you can pitch your tent almost anywhere on the 200 acre camp. Tenters have full use of bathroom facilities in the cabins. This allows for a level of privacy which is unavailable in cabins.

Speaking of privacy, new to our events this year is a space devoted to "private" liaisons. This is a cabin with four rooms. Each room is available for brief assignations on a first-come, first-served (pun intended) basis. All we ask is that you keep your time in these spaces brief in deference to those who might be waiting for them and that you bring your own bedding and clean up after yourselves when you're done. (Please don't try to sleep in these cabins. We *will* toss you out of them.)

Meals

While some people enjoy cooking their own meals at their campsites, most enjoy the community of sharing meals at the camps dining hall. This year's dining hall mealplan will feature a buffet meal at each mealtime. As was the case last year, Saturday's Lunch will be free as a gift from Harry, the camp owner. Just sign up for it so he knows how much to make!

Again this year, on Saturday evening, we'll be offering a Sensual Feast. The theory behind a Sensual Feast is that you are encouraged to feed others and allow yourself to be fed (obviously hand-washing will be part of the event). The cost for this event is $20/per person if you pre-register for it online ($30 at the door if we have any space left--last year we sold out completely) and takes the place of the regular meal in the Dining Hall that evening. We'll post a menu in April, but we plan on it being similar to last year.

Merchants

Merchants are welcome at Beltane. For more info on pricing to be a vendor at our event, click here. Vending space at this event is outdoors and locations vary from shaded to sunny. We are also moving our merchant's row to the traditional location at FSG. If you have questions, drop us an email.

Community Service

This year, sensitive to how precious your free time is, we have chosen to make Community Service purely voluntary. If you would like to help out, there will be a sign-up sheet at check-in. If not, you are under no obligation to do so. We want you to enjoy yourselves.
